by the Permanent Council of the
Collective Security Treaty
The Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) expresses its concern about the continuing increase in tension arising from the situation around the Strait of Hormuz . The development of events of a confrontational nature , especially against the background of general instability in the Middle East and North Africa, poses serious negative consequences not only for the neighboring countries of the region , directly adjacent to the CSTO zone of responsibility , but also for the international community as a whole.
The Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization calls upon the parties to exercise maximum restraint and avoid statements and let alone actions, which could lead to further spiraling of confrontation.
